Hayley Bell is a British motorcyclist, entrepreneur and the founder of Women Riders World Relay (WRWR), an international women’s motorcycling initiative that began as a global relay in 2019 and later expanded into an app-based relay format.[1][2]

In 2019, Bell was named the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Motorcyclist of the Year for her work with WRWR.[1]

Women Riders World Relay (WRWR)

Women Riders World Relay launched in 2019 as a women-led global motorcycling relay intended to connect women riders internationally through the symbolic passing of a baton.[1][3]

From 2025, Bell and the WRWR team publicly described plans to move the relay into an app-based format using a “virtual baton,” with participation open to a wider range of riders than a fixed physical route.[4][5]

In late 2025, outlets reported the WRWR app had launched on major app stores and that the initiative was running as a global digital relay.[2]

Bell was features in the Google documentary film "The Guardians" which, as of 2025, has been viewed by 8 million people. Bell has appeared in hundreds[citation needed] of interviews and podcasts discussing WRWR and women’s motorcycling, including the New York Times, PRI the World, MCN, ABC News and more. an episode of the Rider Magazine Insider Podcast (2022).[7] In 2026, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported on WRWR and quoted Bell on her motivations for starting the initiative.[8]
