Heraa Khan is a Pakistani born visual artist currently living and working in the amiskwacîwâskahikan, Treaty 6 Territory (Edmonton, Canada). Khan primarily makes miniature paintings inspired by masavari, a traditional Indo-Persian practice, a medium that requires extreme attention to detail. Khan also works with painting, drawing, digital animation and film. She received her BFA in Mughal and Persian miniature painting[1] from the National College of Arts in Lahore and an MFA from the University of British Columbia, Okanagan.[2]
