The Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Utah is the first official Portuguese diplomatic representation established in the state. History

The Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Utah was formally established on 7 July 2023 to serve Portuguese citizens and Portuguese‑American families residing in the state.[3] Before the consulate's creation, residents relied on consular services provided by the Consulate‑General of Portugal in San Francisco.[6]

Luis Camara Manoel was appointed as the first Honorary Consul of Portugal in Utah.[3][4] His designation marked the beginning of an official Portuguese diplomatic presence in the state and was followed by a formal investiture ceremony presided over by Ambassador Francisco Duarte Lopes on 15 January 2025 at the Utah State Capitol.[5][7]
