Career
2019–present: Debut with Tomorrow X Together and solo activities
Hueningkai was the third member of Tomorrow X Together to be revealed, having undergone two years and six months of training with Big Hit Music.[4][5] He debuted on March 4, 2019, as the youngest member of Tomorrow X Together with the release of their first extended play (EP), The Dream Chapter: Star.
He contributed to the writing and composition of the song "Roller Coaster"[6] from the group's first studio album The Dream Chapter: MAGIC, making him one of the youngest K-pop idols to be registered under the Korean Music Copyright Association.
In early 2021, he co-hosted the EBS radio show 'Listen' alongside bandmate Taehyun.[7] Hueningkai also starred in two solo variety web series, HUENINGKAI Wants to Start a Band (2024)[8] and HUENINGKAI's Countless Friends (2025),[9] featured on the group's official YouTube channel. In November 2024, Hueningkai and fellow member Taehyun released the original soundtrack (OST) "Can't Stop" for the Korean drama series Brewing Love.[10] In February 2025, the duo released another OST, "Surfing in the Moonlight", for the Korean television series Melo Movie.[11]

In January 2025, Hueningkai donated ₩50 million (US$33,272) to support the victims of the Jeju Air accident. He stated, "[I] felt great sadness and sorrow at the sudden news of the accident. I decided to donate because I wanted to provide even a small amount of help to the victims' families. I offer my condolences and deep sympathy to everyone experiencing grief."[12]

As of July 2025, Hueningkai became the first K-pop artist to serve as a brand ambassador for the skincare company Dermafirm.[13]
