Ilyuk Yuriy Ivanovich (Ілюк Юрій Іванович) (b.{{{1}}} 3 December 1937, Pidkizzia village, Bridok village, Zastavniv district, Chernivtsi region) — head of the neurosurgical department at the Kyiv Regional Psychiatric and Narcological Medical Association, candidate of medical sciences . Has the highest neurosurgical category. Awarded the medal for rationalization and invention by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Author and co-author of 72 scientific works.

Life

From 1944 to 1948 he studied at Bridotska primary school, and from 1948 to 1954 at Viknyanska secondary school, after which he entered the Chernivtsi Medical Institute, which he graduated with honors in 1960. Following his graduation he worked as a surgeon in the hospital of the city of Molodogvardiysk, Luhansk region for one year. After which he was appointed head of the surgical department of the second district hospital of the Krasnodon district. He entered the postgraduate course at the Kyiv Research Institute of Neurosurgery and in 1966 began to work as a surgeon and neurosurgeon at Hospital No. 1 (Feofaniya) of the IV Department of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. He defended his PhD thesis on skull tumors, after which he worked at the Institute of Neurosurgery until 1967.

He is a father of three. Two of his children are neurosurgeons, Nataliya Ilyuk[1],Roman Ilyuk[2]. and one vitroretinal surgeon Oxana Ilyuk[3]
