The International Arena League (IAL) is an upcoming arena football league. The IAL is the first league since the Arena Football One to expand to somewhere other than the US. And the very first league to expand to Europe, and the first league to successfully have an international league since the China Arena Football League in 2019.

History
On September 4 2025, it was announced the IAL was formed and the first commisoner was announced as Dan Lust.[1] Later, it was revealed eight teams would play, four in the North American Division, and four in the Europeian Division. On October, the Cincinnati Slingers and the Las Vegas Rockers were announced as the very first teams to join the North American Division of the IAL.[2][3]. Then on October, it was announced that the Glasgow Tartans would be the first Europeian team to join the IAL.[4] The rest of the teams were announced on November 25.
Inagural season
On January 22, 2026, the IAL released the schedule and revealed that the league would run 15 weeks, starting on April and ending on July 25.[5] On March 21, a league-wide tryout and draft was held at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas to finalize roster players.[6]
