History
Invensis Technologies was founded in 1998 by Vara Prasad Rongala, an entrepreneur from Nidadavole in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, who had relocated to Bengaluru in 1996. The company was established with offices in Bangalore and Chicago, initially focusing on CAD/CAM drawing conversion services for civil engineering and architectural firms in the United States.[2]
The company was formally incorporated as a private limited company in October 2000.[3] By 2005, it had grown to over 150 employees and expanded its services to include finance and accounting outsourcing, healthcare BPM, order management, and e-commerce support.[2]
In February 2008, the Harvard Business School published a case study on the company titled "Invensis Technologies (P) Ltd: A Global BPM Service Provider from India," examining its growth model and management practices.[4][failed verification] That same year, the company was cited by Silicon India as one of the top 10 emerging BPMs in India.[2]
In 2012, the company obtained ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications and opened a second delivery center in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh. In 2014, it launched a training and certification division offering project management and other globally recognized certification programs.[5]
By 2020, the company described its focus as having shifted from traditional BPM toward "business process transformation" (BPT) services. It also became an SAP partner that year.[5] In 2022, Invensis reported achieving GDPR compliance.[5]
Operations
Invensis Technologies provides outsourced back-office services to clients across multiple industry sectors including logistics, healthcare, insurance, retail, and financial services. Its service categories include finance and accounting process outsourcing, IT services, data entry and transaction management, e-commerce support, and call centre operations.[6]
The company maintains offices in Bengaluru (registered headquarters) and a US office in Wilmington, Delaware.[7]
As of 2024, the company reported a workforce of over 5,000 employees.[5]
Certifications
Invensis Technologies holds ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO/IEC 27001 (information security) certifications. It has also reported HIPAA compliance for its healthcare-related services and GDPR compliance for European data handling.[6]
