Biography
Isabel Pazos was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. From a very young age[3], she showed a clear inclination toward the performing arts [4] and acting, as well as a strong interest in drawing, painting, and music. She was inspired by the films she watched, with The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing, captivating her for its natural and spontaneous acting style. She currently has an international career [5] and was part of the set for the film Juror #2, under the direction of Clint Eastwood, where she experienced first-hand the cinematic environment of Hollywood. Her dream is to participate in action, comedy, and science fiction productions in Hollywood. She began her professional training with studies in animation [6] in the United Kingdom [7] and later moved to the United States, where she pursued a Master of Fine Arts. Pazos has integrated these experiences through work in theatre and film, performing roles as an assistant director and producer.[8]
“I have felt more assertive, reliable, and capable as a professional in this industry because I have been able to take over responsibilities and do them well,” [9]— Isabel Pazos, in an interview with Success Quarterly.
The role of assistant director is essential for mediation and problem-solving, frequently requiring the management of complex dynamics and interpersonal relationships under tight deadlines, which has contributed to Pazos’s development of conflict resolution and negotiation skills.[10] In 2024, she was nominated at the Savannah 48hr Film Festival for Best Supporting Actress. “What I want most is to tell stories that give people something: a breath of fresh air, a smile, or a memory that stays with them”.[11] — Isabel Pazos, in an interview with Prensa Libre.
