Ji Ye-eun (Korean: 지예은; born July 26, 1994) is a South Korean actress and comedian. She gained widespread attention after joining Saturday Night Live Korea in 2022. She is one of the regular cast members of the South Korean variety show Running Man.

Early life
Ji Ye-eun has played piano since she was 7 years old and was planning to major in it. In middle school she became a big fan of Girls' Generation and wanted to become an idol, she went to a dance academy and even auditioned to JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment, but she realized this didn't fit her aspirations. She graduated from Jungang Girls' High School, in her last year she went to an acting academy with her friend and became captivated by acting. She got accepted into Hanyang Women's University musical department but dropped out after a semester because it was focused too much on singing instead of acting. In 2014 after retaking the entrance exam she became a freshman of Korea National University of Arts[1], and her goal was to become a comedy actor[2].
Career
2017:2021 - Career beginnings
In 2017 she debuted in a web drama called How to produced by Piki pictures. She then appeared in the web drama yellow (2017) and The taste of cat (2018). She also appeared in short films, Black Out: Mafia Game (2021), Okay, Acting Class (2021).
She also became a regular in variety show The Ultimate Watchlist (2018-2019).
2022:2023 - Rising popularity
She joined SNL Korea Reboot Season 3 (also called season 12) after passing an audition at the recommendation of a PD she had met through the show "The Ultimate Watchlist" the predecessor to SNL reboot. She gained a lot of popularity in season 4 with her character "Chorongs girlfriend".
2024:Present - Running Man
She continued appearing in Saturday Night Live Korea until season 7, and also became host of Midnight Horror Story Season 4 (2024). Ji Ye-eun appeared for the first time in an episode of Running Man (TV program) on June 2, 2024. She received favorable reviews and since the 711th episode, which aired on June 30, 2024, she became a long -term guest. She officially became a permanent member starting from episode 733, which aired on December 22, 2024. Given that episodes 732 and 733 were filmed in the same shoot, it can be considered that she joined from episode 732.
She won the 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards Rising Star Award with Kang Hoon who was also a long -term guest on Running Man [3].
Ji Ye-eun starred in 'Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ an original Netflix show, together with Jin from BTS and Kian84. She won the LG Uplus Positive Influence Award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards.
Together with Jee Seok-jin she formed the co-ed group Chungju Ji-ssi and released the song ''Milkshake Feat. Wonstein'' on 21 juni 2025 [4]. She also performed at Waterbomb festival.
On 26 August, 2025 it was announced that she would take a break from all activities because of Hyperthyroidism [5]. Ji Ye-eun officially returned from episode 776, which aired on November 2, 2025 [6].
She won the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards Excellence award [7].
Ji Ye-eun is set to star in Jae Seok’s B&B Rules which will be released in 2026.
Personal life
She is protestant [8]. She enjoys quietly relaxing at home with calm music shows, and when she has a lot of thoughts, she likes to visit Kyobo Bookstore or walk along Cheonggyecheon while listening to music[9]. She has a certification in Chinese Characters [10]. One of her close friends is Kim Ah Young who is also a cast member of Saturday Night Live Korea[11].
