Apostle John Okoriko (born 18 October 1948) is a Nigerian Christian minister, author, and televangelist. He is the founder and president of the Solid Rock Kingdom Church (SRKC), headquartered in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.[1][2] He is also the author of Every Satan Has A Human Face.[3]

Early life
John was born on 18 October 1948 in Ibekwe Akpa, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian home and developed an early interest in Bible study and preaching.[4]
Personal life
Religious career
John began his ministry as a local preacher before founding the Solid Rock Kingdom Church in the early 1990s.[4] The church, headquartered in Akwa Ibom State, has several branches in Nigeria. His sermons often mix English and Ibibio, helps connect with local communities. He also identifies as a farmer, describing agriculture as a God-given passion that complements his preaching ministry.[4]
Teachings and beliefs
Okoriko, in 2025, stated that there is no place called heaven or hell, explaining that the biblical heavenly places refer to a believer’s spiritual relationship with God rather than a distant physical location.[1]
He has also advised Christians to stop excessive religious tourism to Jerusalem, saying that God is not tied to a physical place.[5]

Abduction incident
In April 2022, Okoriko was abducted by gunmen from his residence in Mkpat Enin, Akwa Ibom State and was released after a few days.[6]
