KP Law Limited (trading as KP Law) is a British law firm specialising in collective redress — the aggregation of claims by large groups of claimants against well-funded corporate defendants. Headquartered in London, the firm was formed in March 2024 through the merger of Keller Postman UK Ltd. and Lanier, Longstaff, Hedar & Roberts LLP. It is widely regarded as one of the leading group litigation practices in the United Kingdom and is owned by litigation funder Asertis.[1]

History
KP Law traces its origins to the British arm of the US law firm Keller Postman, which initially operated in the United Kingdom under the name Keller Lenkner UK Ltd. The company was incorporated in England and Wales on 10 April 2019 as a private limited company (company number: 11937792) and specialised from the outset in group and collective actions within the UK legal system.[2]
In the years that followed, the firm built a significant track record representing tens of thousands of claimants in complex multi-party proceedings against major corporations, including cases relating to diesel emissions manipulation, large-scale data breaches, and workers' rights in the gig economy.
On 1 January 2024, British litigation funder Asertis acquired the entire issued share capital of Keller Postman UK Limited, following a refinancing of its debt in June 2023. The firm was subsequently rebranded as KP Law Limited on 4 March 2024.[3]
Merger and formation of KP Law
On 5 March 2024, Keller Postman UK and Lanier, Longstaff, Hedar & Roberts LLP — the UK arm of the prominent US trial firm The Lanier Law Firm — announced their merger to form the new entity KP Law Limited.[4] The announcement was covered by major legal publications including Law360, the Law Society Gazette, the Global Legal Post, Solicitors Journal, and Commercial Dispute Resolution.[5]
The combined firm brought together four partners from Keller Postman UK, led by managing partner Andrew Nugent Smith, and the founding partners of Lanier Longstaff, including barristers Tom Longstaff and Duncan Hedar.[3] The merger added expertise in product liability and competition law to the existing practice areas of workers' rights, data breach and privacy, financial products, investment fraud, and mis-selling.[6]
With the merger, KP Law severed its organisational ties with Keller Postman in the United States, while retaining a collaborative working relationship with The Lanier Law Firm for cases in the UK and Europe. KP Law is a founder member of the Collective Redress Lawyers Association.

Structure and regulation
KP Law is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) as a Licensed Body (Alternative Business Structure) with regulatory reference number 661050, and has held that authorisation since 1 January 2024. The firm is authorised to provide all types of legal services, including reserved legal activities such as the conduct of litigation, rights of audience, and the administration of oaths.
The firm operates from five offices across the United Kingdom, with its head office at 75 High Holborn, London, and additional offices in Birmingham, Liverpool, and Manchester. As of 2023, the firm's accounts recorded current assets of approximately £7.9 million.
