Early life
Career
Altaf has represented Jammu and Kashmir in domestic judo competitions across India. She won a silver medal at the 2019 Khelo India Games and a bronze medal at the 2020 edition held in Guwahati.[13] She has also secured podium finishes at the National Cadet and Junior Judo Championships and the National Youth Championships between 2014 and 2018.[14]
During the COVID-19 lockdown period, Altaf was featured in national and international media coverage focusing on the training conditions and challenges faced by athletes in Kashmir.[15][16][17]
