Career
Kenneth Barry began acting in 2023, upon graduating from the Limerick School of Acting, where he was trained by Love/Hate star Nigel Mercier. [1] He appeared in minor roles in the likes of Fair City, [2]Crimecall [3] and Bonhoeffer. In 2025, Kenneth made his producer debut with the short film ‘The Moment Before’, which tells the story of a chance encounter between a restless teenager and a mysterious woman. What begins as an ordinary conversation gradually uncovers hidden truths, forcing both characters to face their deepest fears and regrets. The film was funded via GoFundMe by the directors Declan Gill and Neha Dubey [4] and stars several Limerick actors alongside Kenneth, including Cathal O’Doherty and Philip Wright. [5] The short won international praise and won an award at the NITIIN International Film Festival. [6]
That same year, Kenneth appeared in a supporting role in the indie feature ‘I Fear The Man I’ve Become’, directed by Devin Noonan. [7] Kenneth would produce a TV Special of Come Dine with Me Ireland in 2025 alongside several local content creators in support of Breast cancer awareness. [8] In 2026, he appeared in the short films ‘Work Friends’ & ‘The Debt Collector’s Son’ [9], directed by the former Fresh Film Festival finalist, Jonty Ross. [10]
