History
The organization was founded in 2010 by clinical psychologist Hooman Keshavarzi.[3]
In 2018, Religion News Service reported on efforts to establish a Los Angeles-area branch of the Khalil Center and described the clinic as using a faith-based approach that integrates Muslim theological concepts with psychological care.[2]
PBS NewsHour described the Khalil Center as having branches in multiple North American cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Toronto.[1]
