The khangran wala village is built on high ground near the old bank of the Beas River. there were three small areas named Hassan Pura, Kot Nader Shah, and Khangran Wala, but now they have all joined together into one big village.
Administratively, the village is now part of Union Council and the Municipal Committee Shergarh.[2]
