Background
In the late 60's, Tiny Tim released his single "Tiptoe Through The Tulips", and his debut album God Bless Tiny Tim, both of which were hits and charted high.[1] However his success was short-lived, as his subsequent albums failed to achieve the same level of success. In the late 80's, Tiny Tim signed to the Nashville-based NLT Records, and with producer Dan Mitchell recorded Leave Me Satisfied.[2] For this album, Tiny Tim turned to country music,[3][4][5] a genre which he was already familiar with,[6] having released a country single already.[7]
The title track was released as a single,[4][8][9] on March 7,[10] with "I Wanna Get Crazy With You" as the flip side.[11] It debuted at number 85,[12] and peaked at number 70[13] on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, and spent 5 weeks on the chart.[14] It was Tiny Tim's final single to chart. "I've Got A Tiger By The Tail" was planned to be the second single, but it was never released.[1] The album was scheduled to release in mid-April 1988,[2] but the release was cancelled due to a financial dispute between Tiny Tim and NLT Records. Because of this, the album was never officially released,[15] with only a few promotional copies existing.[7]
