A list of all the characters in BFDI. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Battle for Dream Island is an animated web series created by twin brothers Cary and Michael Huang on January 1, 2010.[1][2] The first season, Battle for Dream Island, follows 20 anthropomorphic objects (later 21).[3][4] A second season, Battle for Dream Island Again, follows 11 returning contestants with 10 new ones.[5][self-published source?] A fourth season, Battle for B.F.D.I., follows 64 contestants.[6] During BFB, the season splits into Battle for B.F.B. and The Power of Two, with only 14 contestants remaining for BFB's continuation. The fifth season, The Power of Two, follows the 40 contestants from Battle for B.F.B. with the addition of two newcomers to join the season, making the total number of contestants 42.[7] The sixth season, Battle for Dream Island Elsewhere, follows one returning contestant alongside 11 newcomers.[8][self-published source?]

Characters

Hosts

  • Announcer is the host of the first and sixth of Battle for Dream Island, who secretly hosted the first five episodes of Battle for Dream Island Again before making his return as the final antagonist in Battle for B.F.B. He is a gray rectangular speaker box from outer space, who offered the contestants Dream Island in the first season and frequently gets concerned over budget cuts, which often effects on how he runs the show.[10][self-published source?]

Algebraliens

These creatures are extraterrestrial beings shaped like mathematical symbols (usually numbers) that originate from a place called the “Equation Playground”. They are major characters in Season 4 and 5 of BFDI and jacknjellify’s subscriber milestone videos. Algebraliens tend to have reality-warping powers, though not all of them are shown to have said powers.

  • Zero (voiced by Xander Archibald) is a gray Algebralien representing the number zero.
  • One (voiced by Emily Pitcher) is a blue Algebralien representing the number one. The first canonical appearance of One shows her as a lonely, self-conscious person who constantly seeks to interact with others but is dismissed or ignored. One's own mental health is shown to be deteriorating from the lack of communication with anyone, which causes her to become more aggressive around people. When she is locked inside the Moon, she turns more psychologically unstable and starts a revenge plot against the Algebraliens to repair Three.[11][self-published source?][12][self-published source?]
  • Two (voiced by Niall Burns) is a green Algebralien representing the number two. They were the host of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two up until "Seasonal Shift".
  • Three (voiced by Em Mintz-Kreyns) is a red Algebralien representing the number three. They often act kind and social and want to include everyone the majority of the time. They are shattered and killed by One in TPOT 20, and are revived in an unstable state.
  • Four (voiced by Michael Huang) is the host of the fourth season of Battle for Dream Island: Battle for B.F.D.I.[c] They are a blue Algebralien representing the number four. They are chaotic and mischievous, often torturing contestants for fun and, when provoked in the first half of BFB, also not tolerating criticism. In the second half, he becomes more calm, friendly and humble. They are shown to have god-like powers with which he can warp reality and teleport and eliminate contestants by sending them to a classroom called the "E.X.I.T.", which itself is in a pocket dimension he made in his body called the "Fourest". He also frequently screeches at contestants and shoots beams at them when provoked.
  • Five (voiced by Dane Trent) is a purple Algebralien representing the number five. They are Three’s best friend and are very irritable and a stickler for the rules.
  • Six (voiced by Florence Chapell) is a light blue colored Algebralien representing the number six.
  • Seven (voiced by Griffin Weber) is a dark gray colored Algebralien representing the number seven. They like to tell jokes and make them funny but they usually fall flat and no one will eventually like them.[7]
  • Eight (voiced by Sam Thornbury) is a gray colored Algebralien representing the number eight.
  • Nine (voiced by Sam Thornbury) is a white colored Algebralien representing the number nine. They own glasses and a yellow and blue skateboard and usually act like they’re “cool”.
  • Ten (voiced by Bryan Ndubisi) is an orange colored Algebralien representing the number ten. In “Thanks for 2,000,000 subscribers!”, their skin gets eaten up by a green seven (which was actually Fourteen in disguise).
  • Fourteen (voiced by Ivan Maslov) is a dark green colored Algebralien representing the number fourteen. They are a cannibal who like to eat people’s skin. In “Thanks for 2,000,000 subscribers!”, they split into two dark green sevens, one of them eventually going to Ten’s house and eating their skin.
  • Fifteen (voiced by Joseph Pak) is a dark red colored Algebralien representing the number fifteen. She is very strict and lives in a cabin in the forest and also has a crush on Zero.
  • X (voiced by Cary Huang) is the co-host of the fourth season of Battle for Dream Island: Battle for B.F.D.I. They are a yellow Algebralien representing the variable X.
