Coaching career

He served as head coach of the Bahamas national beach soccer team, guiding them through regional competitions including the 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship qualifiers.[1][2][3]

During his tenure with the Bahamas Football Association, he focused on program development, including the launch of men's and women's leagues, the first Beach Soccer C-license course, and integration with referee academies to grow the sport at grassroots levels.[4][5][6]

In the Middle East, Escobar coached at Al Arabi Sporting Club and Al Taawoun FC.[citation needed]

He is the current head coach of the beach soccer section at Botafogo in Brazil.[citation needed]

As an educator, Escobar instructed a global Beach Soccer Game Analysis course through Beach Soccer Los Angeles and FL-UX, reaching participants from 34 nations and emphasizing match protocol and analysis tools.[7]

Escobar has published research on beach soccer, including studies on anthropometry, body composition, and anaerobic power via the RAST test in Brazilian national players.[8]

He co-authored an analysis of goal-scoring strategies in elite beach soccer, reviewing matches from the 2018 CONCACAF qualifiers across twelve national teams.[9]
