Magdalena Kaiser is a Canadian wine communications professional, writer, and industry judge. She has held senior roles in wine marketing and public relations in Ontario and has worked to promote Canadian VQA wines, wine tourism, and sustainability within the wine industry. She is the daughter of Canadian winemaker Karl J. Kaiser, co-founder of Inniskillin Wines.[1]

Early Life and Background

Kaiser was introduced to the wine industry at a young age. She began working at Inniskillin Wines as a teenager and has been involved in the promotion of wine for much of her career. Her early exposure to the industry helped shape her later work in wine communications and advocacy.[1]

Career

Kaiser has more than three decades of experience in wine communications, culinary tourism, and marketing strategy. Her work has included public relations, media engagement, and the promotion of Canadian wine regions.[1][2]

For more than 15 years, Kaiser served as Director of Public Relations for the Wine Marketing Association of Ontario, where she represented and promoted VQA Wines of Ontario to domestic and international media, trade professionals, and industry stakeholders.[1] Her work focused on elevating the profile of Ontario wines through storytelling, media relations, and strategic communications.[2]

In addition to her communications work, Kaiser is WSET certified and has served as a judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the world's largest international wine competitions.[3] She also serves as a wine ambassador for the Old Vines Conference, contributing to international discussions on the preservation and promotion of old-vine vineyards.[4]
