Biography
Malloum Bra is a Cameroonian politician from Kolofata, a locality in the Mayo‑Sava division of the Far North Region. He gained national recognition when President Paul Biya appointed him senator on March 31, 2023. His nomination marked the first time Kolofata was represented in the Senate. The event sparked celebrations among the local population, who expressed gratitude to the Head of State.[1][2]
Education
Details about Malloum Bra’s formal education are scarce in public records. However, his political involvement and leadership within the RDPC (Rassemblement Démocratique du Peuple Camerounais) suggest a background of civic engagement and local governance. His rise reflects the trust placed in him by both his community and national leadership. Public reports emphasize his grassroots connection rather than academic credentials.[3][4]
Career
Malloum Bra’s career is defined by his role as senator in Cameroon’s 3rd legislative mandate. Appointed by presidential decree, he joined the chamber of 100 senators, 30 of whom were directly nominated by the Head of State. His appointment strengthened RDPC’s representation and gave Kolofata a voice in national politics. Since then, he has actively participated in mobilizations and meetings to thank President Biya and reinforce party unity.[5][6]
