Manager Kim (Korean: 김부장) is an upcoming South Korean television series written by Nam Dae-joong and starring So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yoon Kyung-ho. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Toy and Jung Jong-taek. It is scheduled to premiere on SBS in 2026.

Synopsis

The series follows Kim (So Ji-sub), a former special operations operative who attempts to lead a quiet life as an ordinary office worker and father. When his daughter disappears, he utilizes his past training and recruits former associates to locate her.

Development

In 2024, production company Fantagio announced it had signed a contract to adapt the PTJ Company webtoon Manager Kim into a live-action series.[7] The project is directed by Lee Seung-young, who previously directed Voice 2 and Wonderful World. The screenplay is written by Nam Dae-joong.[8]

Casting

The lead casting of So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yoon Kyung-ho was confirmed in early 2025.[9]

Release

Manager Kim is scheduled to premiere on SBS in 2026.[10][unreliable source?] It is set to occupy the network's Friday and Saturday 22:00 (KST) time slot.[8]
