Origins
Manie Musicale was started by teachers Stephanie Carbonneau, and Michelle Fournier, as a way to open the linguistic barrier between French and English, and to promote the spread of the French language worldwide.[1] The teachers hail from Maine, and both teach French in their respective classes. To increase the participation of their students, they created Manie Musicale. In the year of 2017, their two schools (York Middle School and Falmouth Middle School, respectively) founded this competition.
