ManipalCigna Health Insurance Company Limited is a provider of standalone health insurance solutions in India.[3] It is currently a joint venture between the Manipal Group and Cigna Healthcare, a global health services organization.[4] Manipal Group has a 51% stake in this joint venture.[5] The company is headquartered in Mumbai and operates nationwide.[6]

History
ManipalCigna was established in 2014,[7] as a joint venture between Cigna Healthcare, an organization that offers health services worldwide, TTK Group and Manipal Group.[8] The venture was formerly named Cigna TTK Health Insurance, which was then rebranded to ManipalCigna Health Insurance Company Limited in 2019 after Manipal Group bought TTK Group’s 31.48% stake in the business.[8] The company currently has a presence in over 400 cities and a network of over 9000 hospitals across cities, including tier I, tier II, and tier III towns in India.[9]
ManipalCigna, in 2019, partnered with IIFL Wealth Finance Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of IIFL Wealth Management Limited, to provide global health insurance coverage for its high net-worth customers.[10]
In 2022, the company launched ManipalCigna Sahi Cover, Discover, Indian health insurance industry’s first online calculator for choosing the right health insurance coverage.[11]
In 2023, IRDAI appointed ManipalCigna Health as the lead insurer for the Karnataka State Awareness Insurance Plan.[12]
In 2024, ManipalCigna launched a policy, Sarvah.[13][14]
In 2025, ManipalCigna proposed a plan to expand its presence in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.[15] In the same year, the company introduced “Tatkal Benefit' under Sarvah Param health insurance that eliminates waiting periods for pre-existing diseases.[16]
