Matteo Miccini (born 13 June 1996 in Florence, Italy) is an Italian principal ballet dancer and model. He is a principal dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet. Miccini also works as a fashion model represented by IMG Models and The Fashion Composers. He is the grandson of Italian visual poet Eugenio Miccini, considered one of the founders of Italian visual poetry.

Early life and education

Miccini was born in Florence, Italy. He began his dance training in Italy before continuing his professional education at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany.

During his training he received several prizes at international ballet competitions including the Premio Internazionale Cartagine (2010), first prize at the Anna Pavlova Competition, first prize at the Eurocity Competition and second prize at the Tanzolymp International Dance Festival in Berlin.

Career

Miccini joined the Stuttgart Ballet in the 2015–2016 season after graduating from the John Cranko School. He progressed through the ranks of the company, becoming demi-soloist in the 2020–2021 season and soloist in the 2022–2023 season.

In the 2025–2026 season he was promoted to principal dancer.

Alongside his dance career, Miccini also works as a fashion model and has appeared in international fashion publications.

Miccini’s performances have been noted by dance critics who highlighted his technical precision and stage presence.[1]
