Max Nardari (Padua, 26 dicembre 1976) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and producer. Throughout his career, he has made feature films, short films and audiovisual projects distributed in Italy and abroad, working mainly in comedy films with social themes.[1][2]

Over the years, Max Nardari has developed a filmography focused mainly on comedy, often intertwined with social and relational themes.[3][4]
In 2015, he directed Di tutti i colori, starring Giancarlo Giannini, Alessandro Borghi, Nino Frassica, Tosca D'Aquino and Russian actresses Olga Pogodina and Larisa Udovičenko.[5][6][7] The film, distributed internationally, was released in Russia under the title Liubov Prêt-à-porter. In 2021, he directed Diversamente, an episodic film focusing on social and inclusive issues, with a cast that included Alessandro Borghi and Euridice Axen.[8][9][10][11]
Among his short films, he directed Ritorno al presente, distributed on Prime Video and presented at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.[12][13][14][15]
Alongside his work as a director, he has held positions in the cultural sphere, including the role of artistic director of the Festival del cinema internazionale Premio Felix.[16] He is also the creator and author of the podcast Reset Night,[17] a project dedicated to behind-the-scenes stories from cinema and television. His works have been presented at international festivals and exhibitions such as the Outshine Film Festival,[18][19] and have been featured in cultural initiatives linked to the Venice Film Festival, such as the Leone di Vetro Award.[20]
In 2024, he directed Amici per caso (Accidental Friends).[21][22][23][24][25] The film was presented in institutional contexts linked to social issues,[26][27][28][29] including an event at the Italian Senate on the International Day Against Homophobia.[30][31][32] The film had a sequel, Amici per caso 2, presented at the Italian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.[33]
Max Nardari is a trainer and lecturer in film studies at Studio Cinema International.[34] In 2022, he published his first book, Meglio fare 100 cose bene che una male.
