Competition career
In September 2019, he won the bronze medal in bouldering at the European Youth Championships in Brixen. He made his debut in the bouldering World Cup on 23 May 2021, finishing 42nd. Just one week later, at his second World Cup in Salt Lake City, he reached the final and placed sixth.[1]
In June 2022, he stood on a World Cup podium for the first time in Brixen, finishing second in bouldering.[2]
In August 2024, Maximilian Milne became Vice European Champion in bouldering at the 2024 IFSC Climbing European Championships in Villars.[3]
Rock climbing
Milne also climbs outdoors at high grades. Among his greatest achievements are flash ascents of the boulder problems The Ace (8B/V13) and Bewilderness (8B+/V14) in the Peak District.[4][5]
