In late 2025 Friday Industries.[1], a media venture group led by producer Kris Eiamsakulrat, acquired a significant stake in Mbrella Films. This acquisition was aimed to provide tax rebate financing and minimum guarantee financing for productions that want to take utilize Thailand's Film Incentives.
The company is best known for providing production services for high-profile streaming titles, including Netflix’s King the Land (2023)[2] and Price of Confession (2025)[3], as well as the Disney+/Hulu series Made in Korea (2025)[4]
In early 2026, Mbrella Film's first US feature film, "Blood on the Ice" started filming in Illinois. The company also announced a new Thai-Korean Co-Production "1950. Memory of the Day".
