History

Native Prime was founded in 2011 as a network of monolingual companies, each specializing in video game localization within their own local market. The four founding companies covered French, Italian, German, and Spanish (collectively known in the industry as FIGS), the most widely requested European languages in game localization.[1][2]

The Spanish branch was co-founded by Diana Díaz Montón, a translator with over two decades of experience in the video game industry, who had previously worked with companies such as Babel Media (later acquired by Keywords Studios).[2]

The original network model proved successful, and Native Prime continued to expand by incorporating additional partner companies and languages, eventually consolidating into a single multilingual entity recognized as one of Europe's leading game localization providers.[3]

Services

Native Prime offers a full-service ("one-stop") game localization solution covering all stages of the localization pipeline:[3][4]

  • Localization consultancy: preparing games for localization and internationalization from the early stages of development.
  • Translation and transcreation: text translation, script translation, transcreation, and glossary management in more than 24 languages.
  • Voice recording: recorded in-country at the company's own facilities, with voice directors and actors experienced in both video games and film.
  • Linguistic quality assurance (LQA): linguistic testing to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the localized product.
  • Research and innovation: development of proprietary tools to optimize localization workflows.

Offices

Native Prime operates offices and recording studios in four European countries:[4][5]
