Career
In approximately 1975, Nike Ribis started his professional relationship with Donald Trump, eventually rising to the position of CEO of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts.[1] According to a New York Post article, after Ribis officially told Trump that he was resigning from the CEO position in May of 2000, Trump instead fired him, claiming the company's low stock as the reason. This departure did not end their professional relationship though, as Ribis was reported as a member of the advisory board for the pro-Trump super PAC, Committee for American Sovereignty, that aimed to raise $20 million between May and July of 2016.[4] The group ultimately fell short of their goal, raising a total of $485,982, $64,000 of which went to support Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.[5]
In 2003, Ribis was a partner in the acquisition of the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino as the Vice Chairman of Resorts International (Atlantic City). [6]
