Personal background

Pereira was born and raised in Sri Lanka before her family relocated to Canada, where she completed her secondary and tertiary education. She graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with a degree in Finance and Human Resources Management.[1] She later returned to Sri Lanka, where she became involved in the photography and digital equipment retail industry alongside her husband, Anushka Gunasinghe.[2]

Career

CameraLK

CameraLK was founded by Anushka Gunasinghe in 2010 as a small home-based business, initially importing cameras from Singapore, and was officially launched as a brand in 2011.[2] The company grew into what has been described as the largest multi-branded camera showroom in South Asia and the largest Sony showroom in South East Asia.[2] Pereira serves as Director of CameraLK Pvt. Ltd. and has been involved in the company's operations, expansion, and customer affairs strategy.[2] In 2017, the company launched a joint Sony Camera Flagship Store at No. 263, High Level Road, Colombo 05, in collaboration with Sony International (Singapore) Ltd.[3] CameraLK also launched the Sony A7R III camera for the Sri Lankan market in January 2018.[4]

Noeline's

During the COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka, Pereira founded Noeline's, a specialty beauty salon, with the aim of creating a premium, all-in-one beauty care destination to address a gap she identified in the Sri Lankan market for international-quality beauty services.[2] She described the venture as a response to the struggles of beauty service providers during the pandemic, seeking to create a safe, consolidated space for clients.[5] The salon was initially established at 78a Stratford Avenue, Colombo, and offers services including nail care, nail encasements, eyelash extensions, semi-permanent makeup, and waxing.[2] What began as a single location grew into a chain of four franchises with over 120 members of staff.[5] The business is Sri Lanka's exclusive distributor of Esthemax facial products and operates an associated professional training academy, Pro Noelines Academy.[2]

Pereira has been recognised as a notable entrepreneur in Sri Lanka's business community and has participated in public events alongside other business figures.[6]
