OSSO Outdoor SL was founded in 2012 by brothers Miguel and Rafael Peinado. According to company sources, the project was initiated following a round-the-world trip undertaken by Miguel Peinado, which influenced the brand’s orientation toward adventure and mountain sports.[1]

Awards and recognition
In 2023, OS2O received an ISPO Award for the Oswald Thermore Ecodown Jacket.[4] The ISPO Awards are presented at ISPO Munich, one of the largest international trade fairs for the sporting goods and outdoor industry.
The jacket was developed by designer Oswaldo Rivera, a key contributor to the brand’s design direction, who died in a mountain accident several months before the award was announced.[5] The garment was noted for its lightweight construction and use of synthetic insulation materials.
Collaboration with the Spanish national ski mountaineering team
OS2O maintains a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Federation of Mountain and Climbing Sports (FEDME), serving as an official sponsor of the Spanish national ski mountaineering team.[6]
As part of this collaboration, the company has contributed to the development of competition apparel for athletes preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan–Cortina d'Ampezzo.[7]
