Olivia Peña (born January 7, 2003) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She played college soccer for the TCU Horned Frogs and was named the Big 12 Midfielder of the Year in 2024.

Early life

Peña grew up in Irving, Texas, the daughter of Sara and Pedro Peña, and has four siblings.[1] She played club soccer for Solar SC, being named to the Best XI of their ECNL under-14 national title victory in 2017, and earning ECNL all-conference honors in 2021.[2][3] She committed to Texas Christian University during her freshman year at Nimitz High School.[4] TopDrawerSoccer ranked her as the No. 38 player of the 2021 class.[1]

College career

Peña became a starter for the TCU Horned Frogs as a freshman in 2021, scoring a career-high 3 goals in 24 games (14 starts).[1] She helped TCU to the Big 12 Conference regular-season championship, the Big 12 tournament title, and the NCAA tournament third round.[1] She was named to the Big 12 all-freshman team and included in TopDrawerSoccer's top 100 freshmen list.[1] She started all 24 games as a sophomore in 2022, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors.[1] She helped TCU finish runner-up for the Big 12 regular-season and tournament titles and again reach the NCAA tournament third round.[1] She repeated as second-team All-Big 12 as a junior in 2023, after starting all 19 games and scoring 1 goal, while TCU placed third in the conference standings.[1] She made a career-high 9 assists and scored 2 goals in 23 games as a senior in 2024, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors and the Big 12 Midfielder of the Year award.[1] She helped lead TCU back to the Big 12 regular-season title, the Big 12 tournament final, and another NCAA tournament berth, making the second round.[1]

Club career

After college, Peña played for Reunion City Dallas at the Soccer Tournament 2025.[5] On September 12, 2025, the North Carolina Courage announced that the club had signed Peña to her first professional contract on a deal through 2026.[6]

International career

Peña was called up to train and play friendlies with the United States under-15 team in 2017.[7]
