  • Comment: There is still some LLM evidence here, though I can see that has been improved. Nevertheless it is a straight ban, LLM is forbidden under WP:NEWLLM.
But the bigger problem is that this article does not, and probably cannot, meet the notability requirements of WP:SIRS. The sources here are either not reliable or are mentioned in WP:CORPTRIV. That is to be expected, the overwhelming majority of companies do not meet the notability requirements of WP:ORGDEPTH. ChrysGalley (talk) 09:32, 23 March 2026 (UTC)

History

Permanent Magnets Limited was incorporated on 26 November 1960 in Vadodara, Gujarat by Kantilal Desai son of Morarji Desai, in collaboration with an Italian firm. The company initially produced Alnico magnets for industrial and domestic applications[2]. The Taparia Group purchased the company in 1965, producing hard ferrites and yoke assemblies for the electronics and power sectors[3].

In 1983, PML entered into a technical collaboration with Sumitomo Special Metals Co. Ltd., Japan, to support its cast magnet production and alloy processing. The company was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1991. In 2009, Permanent Magnets Limited merged with Taparia Magnetics Private Limited as part of a restructuring of its operations.[4]

In the 2010s and 2020s, the company expanded into current sensing components, precision engineering, and metallurgical processing. In 2023, it commissioned a vacuum induction melting (VIM) furnace for the production of specialty alloys.
