Early fundraising efforts targeted approximately ₹2,000 crore to support academic programmes, research infrastructure, and campus development.[6] By 2025, the university had secured over ₹1,500 crore in philanthropic contributions.[7]

The university held its inaugural convocation ceremony, attended by former President Ram Nath Kovind.[19]
