In September 2025, an incident occurred at the Presidium School in Noida's Sector 31. A 10-year-old Class 6 student, Tanishka Sharma, collapsed on campus and was declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.[3]

Preliminary reports suggested she may have choked on food during lunch, but the autopsy found no external injuries, and the cause of death remains under investigation. Her mother, Tripta Sharma, has publicly demanded a thorough inquiry, raising concerns about the school’s emergency response protocols and the delay in transporting her daughter to the hospital.[4]
