Priyankar Patra is an Indian filmmaker. His directorial debut, Early Days premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival in 2025. Patra previously produced Aditya Vikram Sengupta's Once Upon A Time In Calcutta which premiered at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival. [1]

Early life and education
Patra went to Asutosh College of University of Calcutta where he got a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. He later moved to United States to pursue MFA in Screenwriting at Northwestern University.
During his time at Northwestern, Patra was selected for the Television Academy Foundation's prestigious internship program. [2][3][4]
Career
Priyankar Patra has produced Aditya Vikram Sengupta's Indian-French-Norwegian co-production, Once Upon A Time In Calcutta, which premiered at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival. The film was distributed theatrically in India by SVF in February, 2025. [5]
In 2025, he made his directorial debut with the romance-drama Early Days, which premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival. The film was an Indian-Singaporean co-production.
