Project Apex is a upcoming Roblox tactical shooter by ARCSOFT that puts players in the seat of operators of the Chimera Squad, a tactical team of bioengineered super soldiers.[1] The game is set to release in spring of 2026 in early access for a zombies game mode, with more updates rolling out campaign missions and other additions to the game throughout the year.

Campaign
The game's campaign consists of multiple levels with four selectable difficulty ratings: rookie, operative, veteran, and spec-ops. Once in a mission, players are automatically assigned one of four playable operators, Calensk, Banjo, Siren, or Phoenix.
Equipment
Before starting a mission, players are able to customize their loadouts using a grid inventory system. Using this, players can equip primary weapons, sidearms, grenades, medical supplies, and various tools, such as lockpicks and battering rams. In addition, players can select four utilities, which add specialized tools, such as night vision, or add buffs, such as increased weapon reload and decreased weapon malfunction rate. Weapons can also be customized by adding attachments or switching ammunition types. Shotguns can be equipped to use dragons breath or taser slugs, in addition to traditional ammunition types. Items, including weapons, have weight and if a player is carrying too much equipment they become overburdened, resulting in slower walk speed.
Game Mechanics
Players are able to open and peek doors. Locked doors can be lockpicked, breached using a battering ram, or blown off their hinges using C4. Rapid firing can cause gun malfunctions, requiring players to clear the weapon before continuing to fire. Civilians and suspects can be ordered through a context menu. Objects, such as bricks and glass bottles, can be found around maps and can be used to distract or stun enemies. Utility items allow players to equip night vision goggles, stealth melee-takedown enemies, and more.
Missions
- Tutorial: Odin guides players through drills at a shooting range and in a kill house, teaching the player game mechanics.[2]
- Hands to Yourself: The Chimera Squad is deployed to secure and clear a TITAN port facility taken over by an armed group. Players must find a way inside, retake control of the security room, secure the building, find and lock up the armory at the onsite barracks, and secure warehouses.[3]
These missions were originally available during the first playtest in early 2025, but were later removed in subsequent playtests.
Lore
In 1997, TITAN Security Corporation is created by former military officers and strategists with the aim of becoming an advanced, highly efficient PMC. In the following years, TITAN begins to receive recognition and is nicknamed "The Smallest Titan" after consistently outperforming its competitors.
