Richard Lingard is a British business executive working in scientific informatics and life sciences data platforms.
Career
Early career and scientific informatics
Lingard began his career in the 1990s at Molecular Simulations Inc. (MSI), an early provider of scientific informatics and molecular modelling software. MSI later became part of Accelrys, now BIOVIA.
He subsequently worked in genomics and drug discovery at Genomica and Exelixis, before continuing in scientific software and bioinformatics roles at BIOVIA (formerly Inpharmatica).
He went on to hold roles at Charles River Laboratories and Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting drug discovery services and life sciences technologies.
Thomson Reuters
Lingard later joined Thomson Reuters, where he held senior commercial and partnership roles focused on life sciences data and analytics platforms.
Dotmatics
In 2014, Lingard joined Dotmatics as Head of Commercial Operations.[1] Dotmatics is a provider of scientific informatics software, including electronic laboratory notebooks and data management platforms used in pharmaceutical research.
Taconic Biosciences
Lingard later served as Director of Sales for Europe, Africa, Russia and India at Taconic Biosciences.
Achiko AG
In 2021, Lingard joined Achiko AG as SVP Commercialisation.[2]
Adroit DI
In 2020, Lingard founded Adroit DI, a company focused on improving the search, structure, and usability of scientific data.
