Rick Driscoll (born Richard Driscoll, 1 May 1957, Enfield, London) is a British singer, guitarist, and composer, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the 1970s glam rock band Kenny.

Career

Kenny

Driscoll rose to prominence in the mid-1970s as the lead singer and guitarist of the glam rock band Kenny. The band achieved several UK Top 20 hits, most notably the dance craze song The Bump (1975), Fancy Pants, Baby I Love You OK, and Julie Ann. The Bump became associated with the popular dance craze of the same name.

Kenny remained active until 1979.

Later career

Following the disbandment of Kenny, Driscoll continued his career as a guitarist and composer. In 1989, he joined Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel as lead guitarist for the 'Come Back, All Is Forgiven' tour.

He later contributed as a musician and composer for Films and TV series including The Wind in The Willows, Bear Behaving Badly and other notable artists including Alison Moyet [[Ordinary Girl] (Alison Moyet song), Raindancing, Classix Nouveaux, Kylie Minogue, Light Years (Kylie Minogue album).

In addition to performing, Rick works as a composer and continues to be involved in music, including occasional live appearances and session work.

Other ventures

Since 2006, Driscoll has operated a yacht charter business based in Corfu, Greece. Sail Blue Planet.
