rinf.tech was founded in 2006 by Constantin Iftime and Victor Dornescu.[2]
The company expanded to Cluj-Napoca and Iași[3][4] and in 2025 announced the opening of an office in Pune, India, as part of its international expansion.[5][6]
In 2025, the company received an ANIS award for Software Outsourcing Project of the Year for a project developed for Kardex.[7]

Adapta Robotics
A robotics business associated with rinf.tech later developed into Adapta Robotics, a Romanian startup focused on service and automation robots.[12][13]
Adapta Robotics developed products including MATT, a robot for automated device testing, and ERIS, a retail robot.[14]
In 2024, Catalyst Romania announced a €2 million investment in Adapta Robotics.[15]
