Rocco Basilico (born 11 July 1989) "is the stepson of Leonardo Del Vecchio, the late chairman (d. 2022) of EssilorLuxottica, the world's largest eyeglasses firm."

He became well known as a meme when he was involved in Meta launching its next AI glasses, because of the resemblance between his name and the concept of Roko's basilisk.

Italian business executive in the eyewear fashion-technology industry known for roles with Oliver Peoples and in wearables under the EssilorLuxottica group.

Basilico was born in Italy. According to some reports, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore).

In November 2016, at about age 27, Basilico was appointed CEO of luxury eyewear brand Oliver Peoples, part of the Luxottica group.
