This peer-reviewed publication was founded in 1896[4] by radiologist Heinrich Albers-Schoenberg and physician Georg Deycke.[5] and its first issue was published in 1897. The journal includes scientific articles, reviews and case reports regarding medical imaging, radiology[6] and nuclear medicine.[7] It is the Official Journal of both the German Radiological Society (DRG)[8] and the Austrian Radiological Society (OERG).[9] It is published in Stuttgart,[7] Germany, by Georg Thieme Verlag KG[10] at no cost to authors, and access is free[4] at Thieme Connect.[11]
