History

Sage Interiors was founded by Nicole Wakley, who established the predecessor brand TREE Eco Home Furnishing in Tacoma in 2017. TREE specialized in curating sustainable furniture and décor from makers in the Pacific Northwest and internationally.[1]

In 2021, Wakley rebranded the company as Sage Interiors, expanding services to include home staging, bespoke upholstery, and a comprehensive in-house white glove delivery program.[2]

The Sage Interiors gallery is located in the historic Nisqually Power Substation, a former electrical substation in Downtown Tacoma's Brewery District. The building features original brickwork and 55-foot vaulted ceilings.[3]

Services

Sage Interiors offers curated sustainable furniture and home décor, full-service residential interior design, home staging, and complimentary design consultations for furniture clients. The company carries brands including Ethnicraft, Four Hands, Cisco Home, Farrow & Ball, and Loloi Rugs.

Recognition

Sage Interiors received five Best of South Sound awards and six consecutive Best of Houzz awards between 2020 and 2024.[4] The company's gallery project received recognition from the Architecture MasterPrize.
