Early life
Lee was born and raised in New York, New York.[3] She attended New York University and the Art Institute of Chicago for her BFA and MFA, respectively.

Lee, as a filmmaker, was nominated as a finalist for the "Through Her Lens" grant from the Tribeca Film Institute / Chanel for Night Bloom.[4]
