In 2011, Klein was ranked by the Telegraph as fourth on a list of the 100 most influential technology investors in Europe,[3]and was described as "one of Europe's best known and most successful investors" by Yahoo News in 2018. [4]
Since 2021 he has been a member of the Council for Science and Technology which advises the Prime Minister on science and technology policy issues across government and was a founding NED of the UK’s Department of Science, Innovation & Technology (DSTI). He was appointed by David Cameron as Britain’s first Technology Business Ambassador to Israel in 2012 and was appointed an OBE for services to business in 2016.[2]
