History

Seerist was formed from the integration of Geospark Analytics’ technology platform with the online monitoring capabilities of Control Risks, a London-based global risk and strategic consulting firm.[3]

In August 2022, Control Risks invested in Geospark Analytics and spun off its online monitoring platform to form a combined entity operating under the Seerist name. The transaction combined Control Risks’ risk consulting operations with Geospark’s technology platform, including the Hyperion system used for automated risk monitoring, forecasting, and alerting.[2]

In 2025, Seerist appointed Alex Berry as Chief Executive Officer.[4]

Products and services

Seerist provides an Artificial intelligence-based platform that aggregates data from Open-source intelligence (OSINT) and other sources. The software is used to help organizations identify and assess events and trends that may affect operations, personnel, and assets.[1][2]

The platform applies machine-learning and data analytics techniques to monitor geopolitical developments, security incidents, and other risk indicators.[5] Organizations in sectors including government, energy, financial services, technology, retail, and non-governmental organizations use the platform to track and assess emerging operational risks.[1][6]

Collaborations

In May 2025, the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) entered into a five-year cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with Seerist to advance artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in global event detection and operational risk assessment.[5]

According to Intelligence Community News, Seerist expanded a contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to support geospatial intelligence and AI-driven analytics capabilities.[7]

In 2025, financial and technology industry publications reported that Bloomberg L.P. incorporated Seerist’s geopolitical risk analytics into its data services as part of company-level geopolitical risk metrics used by investors and risk managers.[8][6]
