Sethuraman Muthiah or also known as Sethu is a well known individual from Perth, Western Australia. Sethu is known for his contributions to the language Tamil in Western Australia. He is currently the president of the Tamil Association of Western Australia (TAWA) for the 2025-2026 term.[1]. Sethu also organized the 10th annual TAWA badminton Tournament in late 2025[1]. He also played a role in organizing the Mellisai Sangamam musical event and arranged large scale Tamil community segments for Perth's Deepavali Mela[2]. Sethu is known for his hardwork in the TAWA association and many other sections[1]. Sethu had also played a big step towards teaching the language Tamil to Tamil origin students in Western Australia and teaching them the cultures of the language[1]

Contributions
Sethu has done many contributions to the Tamil language in Western Australia. On the 46th Annual General Meeting on 28 March 2026, Sethu was re-elected as president of the TAWA association. Under his management, TAWA was finalisted for the 2026 Western Australian Multicultural Awards.[1]
