Shaneil Deo is a cinematographer and film director from Oakland, California. He has worked as cinematographer on films including Kshanam (2016), Goodachari (2018), Krishna and His Leela (2020), and Wild Dog (2021).[1][2][3] Dacoit is his feature directorial debut; he also shares story, writing, and screenplay credit on the film.[4][5]

Career
Deo worked as the cinematographer on the thriller Kshanam (2016).[1] The New Indian Express later described him as a frequent collaborator of Adivi Sesh and noted his work on Kshanam and Goodachari.[2] For Goodachari, he received a nomination in the Best Cinematographer – Telugu category at the 2019 SIIMA Awards.[6]
Later coverage in The Indian Express identified Deo's previous cinematography credits as including Krishna and His Leela (2020) and Wild Dog (2021).[3] In 2025, The New Indian Express again described him as a cinematographer-turned-director while reporting on Dacoit.[7]
