Sherese Charlie Taylor is an American sociologist, author, and media entrepreneur. She is the founder of Charlie's Toolbox, a media company, and used the term "decentering men" in her 2019 book Decentering Men: How to Decenter Men.[1][2][3]

In 2014, Taylor co-authored a paper in Science titled "Let Minority-Serving Institutions Lead".[4]

Decentering Men
In 2019, Taylor published Decentering Men: How to Decenter Men as a Kindle e‑book, introducing the phrase "decentering men" to describe the practice of deprioritizing male validation in personal decision‑making. A print edition was released in March 2025.[5][6][7]
