Sidna Poage Dalton (November 16, 1892 – April 26, 1965)^[1][2] was an American lawyer who served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri from 1950 to 1965.^[3]

Born on a farm in Vernon County, Missouri, Dalton was the brother of John M. Dalton, who would become governor of Missouri. Dalton received an undergraduate degree at Westminster College in 1913, as class valedictorian. Received Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri. Talk at Flat River High School for one year, then returned to his studies and received a law degree from the University of Missouri in 1918. Entered the practice of law at Cape Girardeau. Served as prosecuting attorney for Cape Girardeau County for 3 terms, until he was appointed a commissioner of the Supreme Court in 1939. He was appointed to the state Supreme Court by Governor Forrest Smith on January third, 1959, and re elected in 1952, and again in 1964, months before his death.^[1]

Dalton married Edna Rusk of Columbia, with whom he had two sons and two daughters. He died at a hospital in Houston, Texas, after an illness of several months, at the age of 72.^[1]
